The Credit Score Direct Tri-Bureau Monitoring Service allows you to take a proactive approach to securing your financial identity. When you first sign up you’ll get access to your credit reports and credit scores from all three credit bureaus (TransUnion, Experian and Equifax). Your credit scores are calculated based on the information in your credit reports. So, by reviewing your reports you will be able to see if there is any erroneous or fraudulent information in them. If so, our specialist will help you remove those items from your credit reports and where possible from the creditors themselves. Once removed your scores will go up.
After you signup we will monitor your credit reports on a daily basis with all three credit bureaus. If there are any changes to your credit file, we will send you an email alert about the change. For example, what if someone takes out a loan in your name or opens a credit card under your name without your knowledge or approval? Without daily monitoring of your credit files you will not know about these until they racked up a bunch of charges and leave you with the bills. By that time it is likely that it will already have already reduced your credit score and it can take months to remove the details from your credit reports and convince the creditors that it was not you. Now imagine that you’re in the process of getting a loan, just to find out about one of these – you’ll either have to deal with much higher interest rates, or wait months until you can get the fraudulent items removed from your credit files.
Included in our Tri-Bureau Monitoring Service at no extra charge is credit restoration assistance. Our Identity Theft Specialists will work on your behalf and provide restoration services for fraudulent items in your credit reports and with your creditors as well as for cases of lost or stolen wallet/purse. To open a case you simply need to login to your account, call our Credit Restoration Department to open a case. We’ll walk you through the process, including asking you for a Limited Power of Attorney so that we can contact the credit bureaus and creditors on your behalf.
By monitoring your credit reports on a daily basis, you greatly reduce your risk of being contacted by creditors for these fraudulent charges. If a fraudulent account is opened in your name it is much easier and faster to shut it down during the first few days, then a few months after the fact. Not to mention the time saved by working with our Identity Theft Specialists.
